2nd Week of Advent
In the second week of Advent, we reflect upon the themes of peace - finding peace in Christ. He has brought us the gift of peace that every single one of us can receive when we repent of our sins and truly seek His forgiveness in our hearts. We all have sinned at some point in our lives and sometimes we might have even forgotten about it because we did it many years ago. We might have been hard-hearted and disconnected from Christ at some stage in our lives. Regardless of what our circumstances might have been in the past, it is never too late to repent of our sins. We can ask Christ for forgiveness at any time, and when we are sincere He will forgive us and free us from the heavy burden of sin. Our Lord is graceful and merciful and He knows our hearts. He wants us all to be free from sin and receive His gift of peace, experience it deep within us, and be transformed by it, so that we can radiate it outward to others.
If this speaks to you, you might want to consider receiving the Sacrament of Reconciliation during these Advent weeks. It’s a wonderful way to receive the peace of Christ and to prepare for His coming.
Wishing you a peaceful second Advent week.
